(1) Many customers ask us about the so called "OFFICIAL" USA website for the Epila that they find on a Google Search... Let us be very clear---There is only one BNB Medical Co, LTD and they have ONLY one location and one website in Korea, they have no subsidiary anywhere outside of Korea, so any website you find on a USA Google search claiming they are the "official" representative or appear as if they are the actual BNB Medical Co. Ltd. but are NOT in Korea, is simply bogus.
(2) A reseller can order a different color from BNB Medical so you may see a white version when surfing the net. Regardless of the color, it is the very same product we sell. There is one misleading seller you can find on Google search that calls his white Epila verson the SI-810 making it appear that his unit is a higher or newer model number, but do NOT be mislead, the SI-808 stands for the laser Wave Length and has nothing to do with a newer or higher model. An 810 wavelength would be ineffective anyway.
(3) A Reseller on Google markets his white epila as a BLOTCH REMOVER... this is incorrect misleading marketing as well. The Epila does not seek RED, so it will NOT remove blotches or veins, it is built to seek only dark or BLACK for hair removal only. Introduction
The EPILA is a laser hair eliminator and a medical instrument. It is manufactured on the basis of scientific research and up-to-date technologies. The 808nm wavelength being used worldwide for hair removal has been proven to be an average of 80% effective for permanent hair removal by world leading research nstitutes and universities. Even if the laser is not emitted directly on hair, it also has a hair removal effect by emitting onto the root of the hair through the skin because 808nm wavelength penetrates deep into the root of hair.
About Laser
The name LASER is an acronym for Light Amplification by the Stimulated Emission of Radiation. The laser can be applied to surgical operations and for skin diseases by using the appropriate wavelengths and emission methods of the light. The degree of thermal injuries is determined by wavelength of laser, intensity of light, the time the light is emitted, the material absorbing the light, and other characteristics, etc. When the laser is adjusted properly, It can be applied to surgical operations and can treat a variety of skin diseases without causing any side effects. For better effective treatment
1. Test on any black paper to see if the laser operates normally prior to use. Please chekc if the paper is burning and to confirm the distance between the lens and the selected area that functions the best.
2. Shave the area up to nearly clean with 1~2mm of hair left to have a best result.
This procedure will facilitate adequate destruction of the root of the hair follicles by the laser. Electric hair removal cannot pull the hair out if not grown, but grown hair is obstacle for laser hair removal. Following or one day prior to your treatment, remove the hair with a shaver or others. But don't pull the hair out because laser is not effective at the area where the hair is pulled out.
3. Let the heat of your skin cool down with a cool towel before and after the treatment as well as during the treatment because the laser generates some heat on your skin during treatments.
4. You can have a treatment by letting the laser emit directly on your hair.
Even if the laser is emitted into the root of hair through the skin, it also penetrates deep into the root of hair and destroys it.
5. Aim the laser as closely as possible by drawing a circle on your skin, not at the end of hair.
6. For treatments on hard to aim or reach regions such as the armpit, perform the treatment with the help of another person.
7. At the points of treatment, you can feel some pain - it can be described as the sensation of a rubberband "snap" or a "mild stinging"- associated with the high temperatures of the laser. This means the root of hair is successfully destroyed. Like this way, repeat at other regions.
8. The burned hairs that are left will fall out gradually or you can pull them out with any tweezers for appearance.
9. Two or three times of sensation of stinging on each hair at a treatment is suitable. Take turns applying the laser to specific locations on the skin, as successive and repeated (over and over) laser treatments at one location is not recommended.
10. After using the laser for 30 minutes, please let the unit rest for a minimum of 5 minutes to protect your skin and the product.
11. A red spot can be generated after use but will gradually disappear in a few days or so.
12. The shorter and coarser the hair, the better the results. Long hair prevents the laser from easily transmitting into the hair root Avoid direct exposure to the laser with your eyes for safety.

Preoperative evaluation (read this before buying the Epila): The most important consideration with Laser Hair Removal is the patient's skin type and hair color. The differential absorption of melanin in the hair follicle and melanin in the epidermis determines the amount of energy that can be safely used. The Ideal Patient has light (type I) skin with black hair, and a patient with very dark (type VI) skin with white or grey hair would have little if any response. Hair growth occurs in cycles throughout an individual's lifetime. Active hair growth is called Anagen, and the length of the anagen phase determines the length of the hair. Scalp hairs may remain in the anagen for up to 3 years. Hair follicles then enter Catagen, a phase of regression which lasts a few weeks. The Telogen, or resting phase, can last for months, depending inversely on the number of actively growing hairs in the area, ie. the scalp has a shorter telogen phase than the chest. As anagen resumes, the hair follicle lengthens, the bulb descends deeper into the skin, and the old hair shaft is gradually shed. In humans, individual hair follicles are more or less independent, with most hairs in anagen at any given time. In animals which shed their hair, the follicles cycle more or less simultaneously. The Anagen phase is the best phase for permanent hair removal.

Is Laser Hair Removal Permanent?
Studies show that the best-known method of achieving permanent hair removal is Laser Hair Removal, and if the procedure is performed correctly (using the right equipment), permanency is definitely possible. That's because laser hair removal actually kills the hair follicle, which impairs it's ability to grow. But you need to get the hair at the right stage in the growth cycle to ensure permanent hair removal, which means that you will need to undergo a number of treatments.
You see, hair grows in 3 stages, and Laser treatment in the first growth stage (Anagen stage) is the best for permanent reduction. Laser treatment in the other 2 stages (Categen and Telogen) can be less effective, because in these stages new hairs are being formed which may not be target-able by the Laser. So for permanency you will need to undergo a number of laser treatments over time to kill all the hair follicles in that region.
Which Growth Stage is Best for Permanent Hair Removal ? Anagen stage
Everyone's hair grows differently, depending on their age, weight, metabolism, hormonal interactions, genetics, medications and environmental influences. Irrespective of this, hair grows in a cycle which has 3 distinct stages, and the ability of the Laser to target and destroy the hair follicle actually depends on the stage of the hair in the growth cycle. That is because the Lasers used in hair removal actually target the pigment in the hair to “zero in” on the hair follicle. In the initial growth stage of hair, there is more pigment in the hair, thus the Laser is more effective.
Following is an overview of the 3 different hair growth cycle stages, and how effective laser treatment is in each of these stages:
The ACTIVE or ANAGEN growth phase (lasts 2-6 years), comprises approximately 85 % of our body hair at any given moment in time. During this ANAGEN phase, the hair shaft and follicle has an abundance of pigment and is most sensitive to the laser light. So in this stage, permanent hair removal is very likely. The Laser will destroy the hair follicle and no new hair will grow.
The REGRESSIVE or CATAGEN phase (lasts 1-2 weeks) is the period during which the hair stops actively growing but is not shed. This phase often lasts several weeks comprising about 3 - 4% of our total body hair at any given time. In the early part of this stage, you can expect the same results as in the ANAGEN stage. But later in this stage, a new hair might already be forming, and because it will have no pigment yet, it won’t be destroyed.
The RESTING or TELOGEN phase lasts 5 - 6 weeks, at the end of which the hair falls out and a new hair begins to form. Approximately 10-13% of our body hair is in this phase at any one time. Again, the new hair will not have any pigment and the laser will not be able to target it. This new hair will shortly enter the ANAGEN stage, and if it is exposed to a Laser treatment when it has entered the ANAGEN stage, then permanency can be expected.
In summary, each hair on your body will naturally be at a different part of the growth cycle, and that is why it will be necessary in most cases to undergo a number of Laser hair Removal treatments at varying intervals to completely destroy all hair follicles in the region you are targeting. You might be lucky and destroy more than 85% of the hair follicles in the target region with just one treatment, but the statistics point towards needing at least 2 treatments (possibly 3 or more) to totally destroy all hair follicles in any part of the body.

We have found the item to be virtually painless, meaning it did not sting-snap-or burn to any degree that caused pain or swelling, the pulses are not loud, the laser light beam is red but not overly bright, etc. etc. Please, we only supply the product, please read feedbacks from customers.
UPDATE: I personally removed APPROX 1/2 of the unwanted hair from my outer ear lobes. I had to zap the hair multiple times over 7 to 10 days, and still DID NOT see any immediate results so I more or less gave up, but over the following 2 to 3 months many hairs simply died off. I was able to tell this because the hairs were still there but NOT GROWING, and when I grabbed these various non-growing hairs they literally just fell out, as if there was no longer any grab from the root. So the roots took quite some time to die and to show they had died... In addition, only about half of the hairs I zapped died over the 2 to 3 months; therefore the laser had no effect on many hairs that apparently have roots that are too light colored. When I pluck dark hairs from various parts of my body and look at the root, some roots are lighter even though the hair color is black, I assume this is because I am natually fair haired (dark blond head hair). So body hair color can be dark but have lighter colored roots which won't attract the laser. So DON'T ASSUME that if you have black hair that your roots are dark black in every case. My body has hair on it that is blondish, brownish and black depending on where on my body I evaluate... and the hair root melanin varies and is not based on the hair color as you would assume as some brownish hair has actually darker roots than the black colored hair on my body (go figure!). Some of my blackish body hair is lighter at the skin line but the tip of the hair is dark black (very odd!). So, everybody will have unique results depending on so many factors. CONCLUSION: if you are not patient in waiting for results, then do not purchase this or any hair removal product. It is a tedious process no matter who you are and results vary.
(3) Please read the top half of the auction page (above) as that is the written explanation material offered directly from the Manufacturer, not bg-intl. The Manufacturer does state that it can take many attempts to achieve pernanent hair removal mostly due to the fact that hair roots can only be permanently killed during one particular phase of a hair's multi-phase growth process and the melanin level in hair roots can vary. If you zap a hair (root) and it grows back, please do not complain to us especially if you only zapped it once and you are uncertain of what phase of growth the hair is in at the time of zapping; also, we have no idea whether your hair root is dark enough regardless of whether your hair color is dark or not (remember you are trying to kill the root, not the hair shaft). A dark hair does not necessarily mean that the root is dark enough to attract the laser light.
(4) In addition, common sense tells us that this small home laser is NOT going to feel or sound like a large expensive commercial laser that you would experience in a dermatologist's office. One person in our company has permanently removed some hair from his ears but it is a slow single hair process. Many people have different degrees of color {MELANIN} in their hair roots, so some of the roots are killable and others don't have enough dark to attract the laser, hence only partial hair removal is achievable for many people. A single hair process may take longer but the laser beam is more concentrated. Only so much power is allowed for home use, without the supervision from a Doctor, so it is better the more focused concentrated the BEAM power is.
